As of December 2009, River Michaels has published two poetry books, "A River of Rain - Book of Poetry" (c2008) and "A River of Peace - Book of Poetry" (c2009) in an ongoing series of seven poetry books still to come.

River was inspired to write and publish her poetry after the death of her mother in September 2001.  River's poetry serves as an emotional outlet to deal with the grief of losing her mother while sharing her experiences and writing stories that may also help to inspire others.
